Hello! I’m Ellen Layzell, 22 and from Devon in England. During the last week of November, I started my new role as part of the International After Sales Team in the UK office and I am UNIFORM-Agri’s 100^th employee!

Having grown up on my family’s beef farm, my passion has always been deeply rooted in the agricultural industry. Last year I finished my BSc (Hons) Agriculture, plus additional qualifications specialising in livestock breeding and genetics. During my studies, I became increasingly interested in data analysis and the use of progressive technology in our industry. I look forward to utilizing this in my new role! I also completed an independent research project which explored implementing assistive reproductive technologies for genetic progression in dairy cattle.

The National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC) is one of the largest rural youth organizations in the UK and I have been a member for 8 years, so this usually takes up most of my spare time! I also play field hockey and enjoy travelling. Most recently I spent a week in Georgia as part of the Rural Youth Europe Autumn Seminar, and next year I look forward to travelling to Canada with NFYFC!
