Set up a different dry off period for 1st lactation cows
From UNIFORM version 5.3 and higher it is possible to set up a different dry off period for 1st lactation cows and cows who are in there 2nd lactation and above. You can do this as follows:
Enter your UNIFORM-Agri program and go to “Programm settings”, select “General settings”.
The screen below will be shown. Click on the option “Cow Calender” and go to the tab “Dry off” as in the example in the image below.
In the print screen you can see that in this case there is chosen to give the 1st lactation cows a standard dry off period of 49 days and that all other cows have a standard dry off period of 42 days.
Be aware when using these settings it also influences the following lists:
– The decrease before drying off (when you are using the in/decrease from feed settings)
– Dry off actionlist
