Software for milk recording organizations – Milk Test Manager (MTM)

The Milk Test Manager program (MTM) is developed by UNIFORM-Agri for milk recording organizations to be able to process milk test data and provide the results to the farms. It combines the lab results with the other required data to generate an official milk test result file or document.

The database of the program runs on a server in the cloud. The employees in the office have access to the database through a desktop application to enter/process/modify/delete data. For the employees in the field there is an iOS and Android app to register data. The app can be used offline and only needs internet connection to synchronize the data to the cloud database.

Key features in Milk Test Manager:
  • CRM: Each farm in the database has their own preferences regarding the milk recording. Like interval, which elements in the milk should be analyzed and farm specific traits. All information can be reviewed, from historical milk recordings until individual animals and their lactations. Also the available technicians and their working days can be managed for a seamless planning of the milk recordings.

  • Planning: In the planning module itself you will find a list with farms that are eligible for milk testing based on their previous recording and preferences. The milk recording can then be scheduled in a flexible week planning with different statuses and with or without a technician to execute the milk sampling. Once the planning is complete it can easily be sent to the active technicians.

  • Milk recording: At the farm the milk yields can be recorded on paper, in the app (iOS or Android) or send digitally depending on the on-farm software. The used vial/bottle can be linked to the cow on paper or in the app as well. In case of robots a file is generated with both milk yields and bottle positions. In case a cow does not participate in milk recording for some reason, specific status codes can be assigned.
  • Analyzing the milk samples: The results of the milk analysis will be processed by MTM and linked to the cows. It is irrelevant if it is an internal or an external laboratory, as long as we can process the result files.
  • Reporting: Once the data is complete (actual animal data and status, milk yields, bottle numbers/positions and lab results) we calculate the milk recording report. Next to the basic milk recording result report, with production, fat, protein, urea, cell count lactation productions, and 305 days (predicted) production, it is also possible to provide for example cell count report, closed lactations and fatty acid reports. The basic KPI’s are ICAR based but we can provide a wide range of KPI’s to farmers or their management systems.
